I was hoping that by now someone would have read this blog, but no matter I shall go on.

To all of you Charlaine Harris fans: Check out True Blood on HBO. I had never heard of the books until I started watching the television show True Blood, which is based on the books. At least the first season has been based on book one of The Southern Vampire Mysteries series, Dead Until Dark, by Ms. Harris.

If you don't know what I am talking about now is the time to find out. You can check out the show and the books. I am currently reading Dead Until Dark, and at the same time have been watching the series from the beginning. So some of the things that I am reading I already know about, but it is still great to put a face to the characters names. Plus you get the added bonus of following the action "live". Another thing is that you get more information about the characters that are mentioned in the book that you may have wondered about, but all the information would have been a bit much to put in a novel.

Anyway, if you decided to take heed to what I am saying you should know that this Sunday is the final episode of the season. So you may have to wait on reruns or until it comes out on DVD. Believe me it will be worth it.

Well, I can't sleep as usual, so I decided to let any historical romance fans about Eloisa James new book. If you don't know who she is it is time that you find out. I am going to list books of Ms. James that I have read and enjoyed and then I will tell you the news that I am excited about. The first series that I read was the Duchess Quartet.

1. Duchess in Love

3. A Wild Pursuit
4. Your Wicked Ways

The second series that I read is the Desperate Duchesses.
1. Desperate Duchesses
2. An Affair Before Christmas
3. Duchess By Night

Talking about the Desperate Duchesses series is my main reason for being here, if you have read the series you will be glad to know that on HarperCollins website you can read the first 7 chapters of Book 4 of this series. The name of the book is When the Duke Returns. If you don't want to go to that site I am going to have a link to the book here.

If this is your first time hearing anything about the author and her books, and you enjoy what you read here please visit her website at www.eloisajames.com. There you will find the books that I mentioned and some other books that I, myself, have not gotten around to reading yet. Of course I have every intention of reading every book that she has published. Also if you like her books make sure to sign up for her newsletter.

Anyway, I guess I will get back to watching Three's Company.

I am back and I feel it is time for me to make a book recommendation. Instead of just one book I want to recommend a series. Well, two series by the same author. The author is Karen Marie Moning. Every book I have read by her has been fantastic, and I have read them all except two. I will let you know which two I haven't read when I list the books.

If you decide to give them a try or if you want to know more about the author, just check out her website at www.karenmoning.com. There you will find loads of information about the author and her books, you will also find excerpts from the books.

Now the first series is The Highlander Series (listed in order):
1. Beyond the Highland Mist
2. To Tame a Highland Warrior
3. The Highlander's Touch
4. Kiss of the Highlander
5. The Dark Highlander
6. The Immortal Highlander
7. Spell of the Highlander
8. Into the Dreaming

I mentioned before that I haven't read two, and that is not from lack of trying. The first book that is one my list to read that I haven't is Into the Dreaming. The reason is that I haven't been able to find it, but I will. I imagine that www.booksfree.com has it. They usually have the books that I have a hard time finding elsewhere.

I read the other books in the order listed, because that is just what I do when I find out about a book in any series rather it is connected by characters or just theme. Now some of these are connected by characters, but they all are connected by theme. To find out more visit Karen's website.

Now the other series is The Fever Series (listed in order):

1. DarkFever
2. BloodFever
3. FaeFever

I have read both DarkFever and BloodFever and I have already purchased FaeFever (the second book that I haven't read). I am trying to put it off as long as possible, because it may be awhile before the next book in the series is out. You should have saw me in between the first two books and between books 2 and 3. I would look for any clue I could find about what was going to happen next. So I wisely, in my opinion, decided to wait, at least until I know the release date, until a later time.
Believe me I have been tempted to go ahead and read it anyway, but so far I am staying strong. :)

Anyway, if you decided to try either of the series or any one of the book or if you have already read any of them feel free to stop by and let me know what you think. As you can tell, I love them all, but what do you think?

As of yet no one has read this blog, but that's okay. Maybe you are the first. Anyway, I named this blog recommendations so tonight I am here to recommend something.

Some of you may have heard of the two television show that I am about to name, but if not please check them out. When I first found out about them I decided to add them to my TIVO's season pass, well I have finally found the time to watch a couple of episodes of both.

1. Eleventh Hour --- Starring Rufus Sewell as Jacob Hood and
Marley Shelton as Rachel Young
Airtime --- Thursday nights @ 9pm central time zone
The info below is from the CBS website:

About Eleventh Hour

ELEVENTH HOUR from acclaimed producer Jerry Bruckheimer follows Dr. Jacob Hood, a brilliant biophysicist and special science advisor to the government, as he investigates scientific crises and oddities. His jurisdiction is absolute and Hood is dogged in his pursuit of those who would abuse and misuse scientific discoveries and breakthroughs for their own gain. His passion and crusade is to protect the substance of science from those with nefarious motives. He is called in at the eleventh hour and he represents the last line of defense. Special Agent Rachel Young is the decorated FBI protection officer assigned to watch Hood’s back.

2. The Mentalist --- Simon Baker as Patrick Jane and
Robin Tunney as Teresa Lisbon

Airtime --- Tuesday, 8pm central time zone

Again those are not my words, but I thought the best way to describe the show is to show what the network had to say.

About The Mentalist

THE MENTALIST stars Golden Globe Award nominee Simon Baker as Patrick Jane, an independent consultant with the California Bureau of Investigation (CBI), who has a remarkable track record for solving serious crimes by using his razor sharp skills of observation. Within the Bureau, Jane is notorious for his blatant lack of protocol and his semi-celebrity past as a psychic medium, whose paranormal abilities he now admits he feigned. Jane's role in cracking a series of tough high-profile cases is greatly valued by his fellow agents. However, no-nonsense Senior Agent Teresa Lisbon openly resists having Jane in her unit and alternates between reluctantly acknowledging Jane's usefulness and blasting him for his theatrics, narcissism and dangerous lack of boundaries. Lisbon's team includes agents Kimball Cho, Wayne Rigsby and rookie member Grace Van Pelt, who all think Jane's a loose cannon but admire his charm and knack for clearing cases.

So if anyone doesn't know who any of these people are google them, either way please watch and let me know what you think.
