Happy Holidays

I hope everyone has finally gotten their Holiday shopping done. Please don't be like me and wait to the last minute, because I can tell you that it is hard to find anything right now. Regardless, I hope all of you have a wonderful time this holiday season and have a very Happy New Year.

Anyway, it's been a while since I last posted anything here, and in that time I have a number of books. I finally was able to read The Pagan Stone by: Nora Roberts. She did a wonderful job as always. If you are a fan of Nora's or are just getting into the reading groove, then you should definitely read the Sign of Seven trilogy and anything else that she has written. There are so many to choose from that I have barely made a dent in the list. I also had a chance to read When the Duke Returns by: Eloisa James. That book was really good it was quite funny and romantic. If you are a romance fanatic please read Eloisa James.

Some other books that I have read and definitely recommend are:

The lost duke of Wyndham by: Quinn, Julia
Casting spells by: Bretton, Barbara
There goes the bride by: Wilde, Lori

Also please read the entire series featuring Sookie Stackhouse by Charlaine Harris. As I have already probably mention before I hadn't heard of it until I saw True Blood on HBO and now I am totally addicted.

Another thing I want to mention before I go is to read Twilight by: Stephanie Myer. I saw the movie and loved so I went out and got the book, I haven't read it yet because I am currently reading something else, but if it is as good as the screen play then it is a keeper, as I am sure the rest of the series is. Then again I may be the only person in existence that has not read the book yet.

Today, I wanted to let you all know about I website that I found quite interesting. First, I want to say that it is only for adults. So if you are under the age of 18 you should not even think about visiting this site. I also wanted to say that it may not be for most people. Now, I guess I should explain myself and then post the website. Well, I am a fan of well written erotic fiction. Anytime, I can read a story erotic or otherwise and I am wondering whats going to happen next or how will the character story end I know that I am reading something good. A little while again I finished reading, Atlantis Rising by Alyssa Day and it was absolutely wonderful. Rather you are a fan of paranormal romance or not I think that you will enjoy this book. It's the first of a series and believe me you will be anticipating the next and the next. As soon as I read the next one I will tell you what I think.

I was hoping that by now someone would have read this blog, but no matter I shall go on.

To all of you Charlaine Harris fans: Check out True Blood on HBO. I had never heard of the books until I started watching the television show True Blood, which is based on the books. At least the first season has been based on book one of The Southern Vampire Mysteries series, Dead Until Dark, by Ms. Harris.

If you don't know what I am talking about now is the time to find out. You can check out the show and the books. I am currently reading Dead Until Dark, and at the same time have been watching the series from the beginning. So some of the things that I am reading I already know about,but it is still great to put a face to the characters names. Plus you get the added bonus of following the action "live". Another thing is that you get more information about the characters that are mentioned in the book that you may have wondered about, but all the information would have been a bit much to put in a novel.

Anyway, if you decided to take heed to what I am saying you should know that this Sunday is the final episode of the season. So you may have to wait on reruns or until it comes out on DVD. Believe me it will be worth it.

Well, I can't sleep as usual, so I decided to let any historical romance fans about Eloisa James new book. If you don't know who she is it is time that you find out. I am going to list books of Ms. James that I have read and enjoyed and then I will tell you the news that I am excited about. The first series that I read was the Duchess Quartet.

I am back and I feel it is time for me to make a book recommendation. Instead of just one book I want to recommend a series. Well, two series by the same author. The author is Karen Marie Moning. Every book I have read by her has been fantastic, and I have read them all except two. I will let you know which two I haven't read when I list the books.

I mentioned before that I haven't read two, and that is not from lack of trying. The first book that is one my list to read that I haven't is Into the Dreaming. The reason is that I haven't been able to find it, but I will. I imagine that www.booksfree.com has it. They usually have the books that I have a hard time finding elsewhere.

I read the other books in the order listed, because that is just what I do when I find out about a book in any series rather it is connected by characters or just theme. Now some of these are connected by characters, but they all are connected by theme. To find out more visit Karen's website.

Now the other series is The Fever Series (listed in order):

1. DarkFever
2. BloodFever
3. FaeFever

I have read both DarkFever and BloodFever and I have already purchased FaeFever (the second book that I haven't read). I am trying to put it off as long as possible, because it may be awhile before the next book in the series is out. You should have saw me in between the first two books and between books 2 and 3. I would look for any clue I could find about what was going to happen next. So I wisely, in my opinion, decided to wait, at least until I know the release date, until a later time.
Believe me I have been tempted to go ahead and read it anyway, but so far I am staying strong. :)

Sleepless

Okay, I can't sleep so I decided to make my first official post. I am a fan of Historical Romances, so I wanted to introduce you to one of the authors in that genre that I have been reading. Some of you may already know about her, but if you don't that's fine too. Julia Quinn writes wonderful historical romances. When I read her books I find myself smiling and sometimes laughing out loud. If you were in my house you will hear my children say what are you laughing about. Most of the time it is at something I am reading and that includes Julia Quinn.

Anyway, I was on her website or searching for her website and came across a link for HarperCollins website where they let you browse inside of a book. Well, for those of you who would like to give Ms. Quinn a try I have added that particular item to this blog. The title of the book is The Duke and I. Most browse inside selections are only previews, but this one(for a limited time only) is the whole thing. So, enjoy and let me know what you think.

Introduction

First I want to say hello to anyone who may read this. I really hope that you enjoy what I have to say and that you feel free to post whatever it is you feel or think. It doesn't matter if you agree with me are not, I am just looking forward to sharing apart of myself and also my opinions on certain topics with you. I also want to say that if there is anything else you would like to discuss or comment about that I may not have mentioned or that is off subject that's fine too.

About me. As you have probably seen from my profile I am a 28 year old female who also happens to be a wife and mother ( 4 kids) and I also work full time. My husband and I have been married for 7 years and have been in our relationship for 9. Our children are D.K (nickname), A'Daja, Shiya, and Ja'Lea. I have to brag on the girls A and S, because they both have been on the Principals list for both six weeks and I am extremely proud of them. Anyway, as far as a career goes I don't have one but I do have a full time job as a Casino Cashier at a video poker casino in my hometown. I am hoping to one day finish my degree, but right now I have to put that on hold, but eventually:)
