I am not a professional reviewer in any way. I am just an ordinary girl who wanted to have a place to post reviews on whatever books I have read at the time.

Liar's Guide to True Love by: Chen, Wendy
It's not for me, but someone else may thing otherwise.
Unscripted by: Aaron, Natalie; Schwartz, Marla
I loved Abby, she seemed like one of my girlfriends. I felt as if I really knew her and I love that she had the same doubts and fears that the rest of face.
She is so down to earth and funny that you can't help wanting her to have a happy ending.

Forever and a Day By: Delilah Marvelle
I love the fact that they met in New York and ended in London. It made it feel as though I was reading an accounting of actual fact instead of fiction. Georgia may not have had a education based in a classroom, but she was sharp as a whip and she had street smarts and common sense which sometimes goes a heck of a lot farther than book sense. I am glad that Rodrick/Robinson went through what he did, because it allowed him to be himself, without all the expectations that he had to deal with daily.
I do wish I would have known what he was thinking and feeling when he first met her on the street, that is the only part that left me wanting.
I will definitely be looking forward to reading more books by Delilah Marville in the future.

How to Worship a Goddess by: Stephanie Julian
The best thing is this book would have been good without the sex, because the plot was so good. I am hoping that there is more to come with these peopl
A Vampire for Christmas
I liked this book a lot. Though I enjoyed them all there is one in particular that stands out as the best, and one that I thought could have been better. Overall, this book is definitely worth the time it will take to read it.
Before reading this book I had never heard of any of the authors who grace these pages, but I will not be forgetting them anytime soon.
When Herald Angels Sing by: Caridad Pineiro Rated: 4 out of 5
All I Want for Christmas by: Alexis Morgan (my personal fav) Rated: 5 out of 5
Enchanted by Blood by: Laurie London Rated 4 out of 5
Monsters Don't do Christmas by: Michele Hauf (my least fav) Rated 3 out of 5
Like I said before the book is worth the time and money, and just because I didn't fall head over heels in love with every story you may have a different opinion.

One Perfect Night
Even though I know exactly what they meant, by the relationship taking a serious turn before I ever read the first page, it still didn't stop me from thoroughly enjoying this book. I loved Peppa and Cameron together and I glad that the misunderstanding went on as long as it did or else they would have never gotten to where they did in their relationship.
I love this new trend that I am seeing showing that condoms or no a hundred percent. A lot of people thinkl that that is the only precaution that they should take in sexual relationships, but I am glad to see that people at least the authors who's books I have been reading lately seem to realize that 98% is not the same a 100 and that that 2 % means that there is a chance that you can get pregnant.
I had never heard of Rachel Johns before I read this, but I will definitely be looking her up after this. I want to see what Ms. Johns has to offer now and in the future, because she is definitely an author who's work I will be reading from now on.
Lady Seductress's Ball
Undeniably Yours
Our hero and heroine in this contemporary romance are the most real that I have read in a long time. Keven reminds me of my husband, a real ladies man, but an all around deceit guy. Beth reminds me of me, a girl who is a little bit of a cynic and want to make sure she is doing the right thing for everybody. The chemistry between those two were off the charts from the first page and I haven't felt so emotionally involved in a story in a log time. When they laughed I laughed (out loud), my family thought I was nuts. Whatever Beth or Kevin felt I did also and that to me is a great story. I felt totally invested in the outcome of their lives. I can't wait for more.
Before, I started writing this I looked up Shannon Stacey and realized that this is the 2nd book in the series. How did she get past me I don't know, but I will be all over the place now trying to find any book I can by this author.
If I was using a rating system this would definitely get 5 stars.

The Demon Lover
All I feel that I can say without ruining the story for you is that it will leave you wanting more. I am on pins and needles waiting for the remainder of Callie McFay and friends story.
I usually don't like stories written in first person, but in this case I felt like I was Callie that I was experiencing and feeling everything that she did.
Please, please, please, give this book a shot, you will not be disappointed.

The Color of Heaven
This is one of the best books that I have read lately. I was actually reading Taken by the Cowboy by Julianne MacLean and when I finished there was an excerpt of this book. I think about the first 10 chapters. After I read those I was instantly hooked. I went online to Ms. MacLean's website to see where I can purchase t he book.
Well, low and behold it was .99c at All Romance Books and may be the same price if you buy it from Amazon.
One thing is for sure, it is worth a whole lot more than what I paid for it.
Sophie's story is hard to put down, so I suggest that you give it a try. This book is like nothing else that Ms. MacLean has ever written to my knowledge, but I is definitely one of the most tragic and heartwarming stories that I have read in a while.

My Ruthless Prince
Gaelen Foley has done it again. I have read some of her books before, but it has been awhile. I will never go that long without experiencing Ms. Foley again. I was hooked from the very first page and I kept reading until the end. I didn't realize it was a part of the Inferno club series, because I hadn't read the series since book 1, but I will be going out to read all the stories that came between this and the first. I loved how devoted Emily was to the man she loved. You very seldom see anyone that selfless in real life. I loved that he didn't try to deny how much he loved her in turn. Most romances the woman is falling all over herself to be with this man because she loves him, but you don't hardly see the man acknowledge that fact that he feels the same.
This book was different in that way. You clearly know that these two love each other from the beginning, but you will be hooked on trying to see how their happily ever after will come about. All I can say is enjoy the ride!!!
Blind Dates and Other Disasters
Definitely a great read!!!

Falke's Captive
This book was really good. I have never read any books by either author and don't know if they are always a team, but just a team for this. This particular book is number two in a series and I am no trying purchase book one. I want more and more.
Kelan, Reidar, and Beth are very hot together. The book is only about 180 pages, so it is a short read, but one you will want to devour all at once. I am looking forward to getting to know the rest of the clan.

Lord of the Abyss
There is a bonus read by Ms. Singh after you have completed Lord of the Abyss. It has nothing to do with the series, but I must say that it is a pretty darn good book also. It helped to solidify my decision to read more by this author.

Lord of the Wolfyn

Lord of Rage
The book is 2nd in a series that is wrote by multiple authors called the Royal House of Shadows. The are books that are rewritten fairytales with a twist. You get all sorts of supernatural entities. In this one a witch and a Berserker among other things. All the books in the series are about siblings born to a Vampire Father and Witch Mother. The first book was written by Gena Showalter (see previous review) titled Lord of Vampires. It is about older bother Nicolai.
This book is about only sister Breena. I loved this story just as I did the last. It is the first book that I have read by Jill Monroe and I am glad it was first. I will definitely be reading more of this authors work. It definitely leaves you wanting more. Which you will get in Book 3 by Jessica Anderson titled, Lord of the Wolfyn.
If I had to give this book a star rating with 1 being the worst and 5 beginning the best, it would definitely receive 5 stars.

A Midnight Dance by: Lila DiPasqua
Anyway, this story is the best retelling of Cinderella that I have ever had the pleasure of reading and this is just for adults. Steamy is not even strong enough of a word to describe the sex scenes between our hero and heroine.
While reading I began to look for any other books that she may have written and I got them both delivered to my library today. Yay!!!!
Excerpt (from the authors website http://www.liladipasqua.com/index.htm)
May 1650—Paris
“I have a plan!” Isabelle Laurent announced the moment she yanked Sabine inside the costume room at their father’s grand theater and slammed the door shut.
Elaborate costumes and colorful plumes, wigs, and props for the latest comedy, The Foolish Wives, filled the space. The very play that could be heard faintly, the actors’ voices seeping into the silence.
Sabine frowned. “What plan? What are we doing here?” Her ire was stirred. Mischief shone in her twin’s eyes. Tonight, Sabine wanted no part of her sister’s scheme. Whatever it was. The play was almost over, and she wanted to spend the remaining time watching her dark-haired prince from behind the stage. The only place Father allowed them to be when at his comedies.
Unseen and out of the way.
Her Dark Prince was in attendance. And it was all because of her lucky new shoes. Covered entirely in glass beading, Isabelle referred to them as “the glass slippers.” The last three times Sabine wore them, her Dark Prince had attended the play, her father’s theater drawing royalty and aristocracy alike.
Though he wasn’t really a prince, he was the firstborn son of the powerful and prominent Marquis de Blainville.
Jules de Moutier. He was nineteen.
And without a doubt, the finest male she’d ever seen in all her fifteen years. And oh how exceptional he looked . . . Tall. Beautiful. With dark hair. Mesmerizing dark eyes. And when he smiled or laughed—a rich masculine sound that was music to her ears—he had the most attractive dimples near his mouth that made her heart melt.
Always the center of attention, he had such commanding presence, drawing all eyes in the room to him. But he never noticed her. Never glanced her way. Not with so many silly females vying for his attention, all but giddy when they captured it.
Oh, but he’d definitely notice her next year, when she’d be introduced to society. And Sabine already knew what she’d wear—a golden-colored gown.
And of course, her lucky glass slippers.
She was counting the days. Had dreamed of their meeting at the ball. Their dance. The moment he’d declare his affections. And their first kiss. She was going to give him his best kiss ever! Better than any of the females she’d seen him kiss on those heart-sinking occasions, when he thought he wasn’t being observed.
She could barely stand the wait.
“I’m leaving.” Sabine turned, anxious to get back to Jules.
“Fine. Go. I’ll get close to the handsome Moutier brothers all on my own.”
That stopped Sabine dead in her tracks. Isabelle had a tendre for Jules’s younger brother, Luc. And a rash, impetuous nature. She adored her sister, loved her with all her heart. They couldn’t be any closer even though they were as different physically as they were in spirit.
“How are you going to do that?” She couldn’t stop herself from asking, despite being much more levelheaded and less adventuresome.
Isabelle smiled. “I’m going to slip out that door.” She pointed to the one at the opposite end of the room. “And run up the alley to the front of the theater. The audience is about to leave and I’m going to brush past Luc.”
Sabine’s mouth fell agape. “You’re not!”
Isabelle was now grinning. “I am.”
“Father will be furious.”
“Only if he finds out. You can stay, or you can come with me.” Isabelle blew her a kiss and bolted out the door.
Sabine remained indecisive for all of two heartbeats before she tore out of the room and was on her sister’s heels, the thought of getting close to Jules quickening her steps. As she raced up the darkened alley, Isabelle’s laugh drifted back to her on the warm summer breeze, inspiring her own. Sabine emerged onto the main street near the front entrance of the theater. Her foot slid out from under her, her bottom colliding hard with the cobblestone road; a sharp pain shot up her spine and made her wince.
The roar of laughter from the crowd exiting her father’s theater assailed her ears. Her left palm stung. Her derrière ached. And she blinked back the tears, mortified by the spectacle she’d just made of herself. Chin-down, she was too afraid to look up. Afraid that in the crowd she’d see her Dark Prince, or rather, see him laughing at her.
Isabelle was at her side in an instant, falling to her knees and throwing a consoling arm around her shoulder. “Sabine . . .”
A pair of black polished boots appeared next to her just then. She looked up. Her heart flip-flopped.
It was he. The handsomest man in the realm. Her dark-haired prince. He lowered himself down on his haunches.
“Are you all right?” he asked, his voice caressing over her. She was lost in the vision he made, his most kissable mouth voicing words of concern for her.
She blinked.
He frowned slightly. “Is she mute?” he asked Isabelle.
“No, my lord. She can speak.” Her sister pinched her back.
Sabine flinched. “I—I am fine. Thank you.”
Then it happened. He smiled. At her! And what a glorious smile it was.
“You lost your slipper,” he said. Picking up her fallen shoe, he gently clasped her ankle and slipped it back on her foot. She forgot to breathe.
He rose, and to her amazement, he held out his hand. Isabelle pinched her harder. Sabine jerked and quickly placed her hand in his. It was warm, strong, and felt so right. She knew he’d held the hand of many beauties from the finest families in the noble class, but at that moment his hand was all hers. His attention was hers. His melting smile was only for her.
She rose with his help, ignoring the pain in her backside.
“Do be careful.” Then he leaned in. The world shifted beneath her feet. Her breath lodged in her throat. “You have beautiful hair,” he whispered in her ear, and with a wink he walked away, enveloped back into the throng that had been waiting for him.
“Oh, Sabine . . .” Isabelle stepped up behind her and, hugged her around the waist. Resting her chin on Sabine’s shoulder, she said, “Can you believe what just happened?”
Her hand and ankle still tingled where he’d touched her. The glass slippers had more than worked their magic this night. And she knew right there and then, down to her very marrow, that the next time they’d meet, there would be more magic to come . . .

Lord of the Vampires
I just finished reading Lord of the Vampires by Gena Showalter and it was absolutely fantastic. I am looking forward to seeing where the rest of the authors who are writing for this series will go. I hope that they will give us an update on Nicki and Jane. I love these two together they are a perfect match.
If you love Ms. Showalter's work or if you just love a good paranormal romance this is for you. Nicki is alpha to the core. That man has no shame in letting his woman know how he feels and he is man enough to back down and let her lead when needed. Love him. Jane is the best woman for him no doubt she just accepts him for who he no questions asked. Love her.Saturday, August 27, 2011

A Touch of Crimson by Sylvia Day
This book ensnared me right from the beginning. I had to literally force myself to put it down when there were other things I needed to do. I don't want to use cliches while trying to let you know how good this book is, but it was captivating. I have read plenty of books about Angels, Lycans, and Vamps, but Sylvia take is unique compared to the books I have read in the past. I am absolutely in love with Adrian and Lyndsay and I can't wait to see where Ms. Day is going to lead us in the future. Once you read you are going to be invested in the main characters and also the secondary characters. I am sitting here now wondering when I am going to have the privilege of reading the next book and any that my follow.
In short once you read this book you are going to be hooked. I was caught, in the same sense that K.Moning caught me up in the fever series. I now have this need to know what is going to happen in this world to these incredible beings I feel like I know and have grown to love.
It is definitely a MUST READ.Sunday, August 7, 2011

I am back!!!!
First thing first though, I have to get more people interested in my blog. So my first goal will be trying to figure out how to get u people interested in hearing what I have to say and u telling me what's on ur minds in return.
Once that is accomplished we can share with on another some of the things that we have loved or hated (or something in between) in books, movies, websites, etc.
